Licensing Process

In 2011, DCA Malaysia embarked on a new and most up to date Part 66 Licensing system, incorporating all of the latest requirements of ICAO. With the publication of Airworthiness Notice 1201, all issuance and renewal of licenses shall be under this system. DCA Malaysia now issues two main categories of license being Category A (Licensed Aircraft Technician) and Category B (Licensed Aircraft Engineer).

DTS provides knowledge training and 147 practical training, as well as ensures all required 145 practical and work experience. For all our candidates, we conduct knowledge examination and practical assessments.

By holding a comprehensive DCAM Part 147 Approved Training Organisation approval, coupled with our programme contents that meet DCAM Part 66 requirements, we can provide the complete process of obtaining Category A and Category B Licenses.
